Workflow 2: Sending a proposal

Be brief and pay attention to detail.  Nowadays we are always in a hurry and very long text are not read as they mean time and effort. So do your best to keep your proposal short and make sure you add your fees and conditions such as pay rate per word, per hour, per translation, deadlines, payment agreement.

Capture the client’s attention fast. You might make reference to the client’s name, history, any other fact that make the customer wonder how you knew that and makes him to be interested in yourself.

Add a sample of previous translations and/or proofreading. A good sample of the quality of your job is your best professional Brand.

“Why should I work with you?” Answer this simple question every client wants to know by talking about your experience, feedback, education relevant to the translation/proofreading.

Improving manners. Keeping it classic is the best way to be polite and professional. “Dear John Smith,” will always sound better than “Hi.” “Thank you for taking the time to read my application” is a great closing line. You can make your proposal more professional with a closing “Best regards”

Please, feel free to leave a comment.

  2. I’ve been browsing online more than three hours nowadays, yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It is lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made excellent content as you probably did,
the net will be much more helpful than ever before.
